Who we are

Knit Wits, based in Penzance in the far west of Cornwall, is owned and run by Julia Hopson and is rapidly getting a reputation as one of the foremost wool stockists in the south-west.

This web-site is the culmination of nine months' work trying to copy the wool shop experience as closely as possible on-line. To this end, you can search this site by brand, colour, pattern and yarn weight - just as you can in the shop itself. In addition, our unique "yarn convertor" will convert how many balls of yarn you will need when you want to knit an item in a different yarn to the one specified on the pattern - just as the staff would do in the shop.

We hope you will enjoy our on-line shop and will get the chance to visit us in Penzance in the near future.
